Francesco Maria Veracini is born at via Pallazzuolo 30 in Florence, Grand Duchy of Tuscany, the son of Agostino Veracini, a pharmacist and undertaker. Agostino is one of the few Veracinis who does not play the violin.
August 7, 1758:
Francesco Maria Veracini (68) assumes duties as maestro di cappella for the Theatine Fathers of San Gaetano in the church of San Michele agl’Antinori, Florence, a post he will hold until his death.
October 6, 1765:
Francesco Maria Veracini (75) is soloist in several violin concertos at the Florentine court. Although he is a native of the city, it is his first performance there.
November 15, 1766:
Francesco Maria Veracini (76) appears as a violin soloist for the last time, at the grand-ducal court in Florence.
May 12, 1767:
Francesco Maria Veracini (77) conducts at the annual festival of San Pancrazio at that saint’s church in Florence where he is primo maestro di cappella. It is his last performance.
October 31, 1768:
19:00 Francesco Maria Veracini dies in Florence, Grand Duchy of Tuscany, aged 78 years, eight months, and 30 days.
November 1, 1768:
The earthly remains of Francesco Maria Veracini are placed in the family sepulchre in Chiesa d'Ognissanti, Florence.
