Orlando Gibbons dies of a cerebral hemmorrhage in Canterbury, Kingdom of England, 41 years, five months, and eleven days after his baptism. His remains will be laid to rest in Canterbury Cathedral.
June 5, 1925:
The first radio broadcast of a service from Canterbury Cathedral takes place. The service is the commemoration of the 300th anniversary of the death of Orlando Gibbons, who is buried in the cathedral.
